On January 9th, I decided on a savings challenge.
I want to save $1,000 by December 31, 2012. Not just save $1,000, do it in "found money".
That means I don't budget for it. I want to do it by surveys, rebates, finding pennies on the ground, cashing in loose change, selling excess items, etc.
So, here is an updated post, since I didn't get this announced in time.
Cash for Gold: $380
Lysol Rebate: $4.95
Survey Cashout: $60.00
Total: $444.95/$1000
I am almost HALFWAY THERE! Already! Eeek! I am planning on posting updates at least monthly, maybe more often if I "find" a significant amount of money to add to the plan.
